"Well I read your book. I cried. Felt proud of you boys too. Were John and Margaret a relative of some kind? And where was Sheila your blood sister in all this? Did she witness the abuse? I feel so ashamed Of Margaret and John, and how they treated you. I don't remember having ever met them. I just remember you guys in the first and second grade. Shawn. Thank you for sharing your story. It hit me hard. Really hard. Going to school with you and your brother all those years, and not knowing what was going on in your life affected me. I became best friends with Deanna in the 5th grade. We spent so much time with each other. Then she went to West Seattle High School in the tenth grade so one day I told my mom I was going to West Seattle. The next day I did. As life goes we started going in different circles. I hung out with the band, and drama. I stopped by your house when you and Deanna lived in a house off of California avenue. Eventually I moved away and we lost contact. I've worked with a lot of young kids that have experienced abuse and that probably contributed to how I've felt after your story.
